Derrick Adame

I was born and raised in So Cal. I also grew up around automotive graphics as my dad was in the business since I was a kid. When I was figuring out what I wanted to do in life as a twenty something year old, being in this industry was not at the top of my list - who wants to do what their dad does? I honestly didn't know what I wanted, but I eventually came around to getting more involved in this great industry. I think it was because I got more involved in creating and taking on the larger projects my dad didn't want to do. I saw it as a challenge that I had to beat.

I started DA Graphics Jan. 2010. At that time, I could install most graphics, and was still figuring out techniques for larger installs. Just like everyone else in a trade career, I learned from my mistakes. I always lived by the principle of being honest in your work, even when you screw it up. Over the years, I’ve worked on thousands of projects, not just cars. Some of my career highlights are installing graphics on various things for Disneyland, FedEx Trucks, and most recently rebranding 60+ van wraps for a large company.

I am thankful for this career path I have chosen. Not only does it provide for my family but I have grown to love it more and more each day. I love seeing my clients reaction to a finished project, which I think is more fulfilling than the money.
